The EETC is offering a GIE+EXPO Dealer Day Special Promotion for EETC Certification Testing at the Dealer Resource Pavilion on Wednesday, October 18, applying to the following subjects: Two-Stroke Cycle Engine, Compact Diesel Engine, Driveline/Hydraulics and Electrical.
After you pre-register for any of the Technician Training Sessions, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to register for an optional Certification Test.
Testing will begin immediately following each Technician Training Class. Technicians can only take one written exam as there is not enough time allotted in the day to do more after classes.
The EETC Technician Certification Tests are designed to measure your knowledge in the basic repair of outdoor power equipment. Each test has 150 multiple choice questions with two hours allotted to complete each test. The tests are broken into several categories including fundamentals, servicing, failure analysis and troubleshooting. Your certification lasts for three years. To learn more about the EETC certification process, go to www.eetc.org.
Study guides are available with sample questions to help you prepare for the exam. These study guides are valuable as they cover 70-75% of the content of the tests.
On October 28 EETC will notify technicians via email whether they passed or failed. Certificates will be mailed shortly after notification of passing.
