Ascend to new heights with professional tree climbing arborists as they share basic techniques and systems accepted within the industry to safely, efficiently, and effectively perform tree care operations.
Climbing instruction will be provided by arborists while aloft in a tree set up within the Expo Center’s Freedom Hall.

Registration is required for the Classroom Workshops: $85/session and eligible for three (3) International Society of Arboriculture continuing education credits
All other sessions are included with trade show registration.

Gear Inspection for Tree Climbers

Selecting and inspecting climbing and rigging gear is essential to a good day in the trees. Learn the fundamentals of gear inspection and when it’s time to retire that gear. Bring your own gear and we’ll review inspection protocol specific to certain manufacturers and types of gear.
- Equip yourself and your crew to conduct gear inspections with information regarding signs of wear and tear, why certain things aren’t acceptable in terms of safety, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Take home a gear inspection checklist template to ensure ongoing documented gear inspections occur.
Arborists should bring the climbing equipment they use for daily operations.
Earn three (3) International Society of Arboriculture continuing education credits.
